We hit the Lower Provo on a Saturday afternoon so the tube hatch was out in full force. After Alex lost a fish to a tube we moved up into a nice riffle that had the tubers moving in the opposite direction from us. Alex told me he always catches fish and I kind of laughed it off, but boy was he right. Where ever he went he was hooking fish. Will caught and landed the fish of the day with a nice 18" rainbow that jumped 4 times before coming to the net. Alex told me he was going to be playing defense for his high school football team, you can see why in the picture of him dropping a fish:) Thanks for a fun day guys! And good luck on the upcoming season.

Pioneer Day Fly Fishing

Eric and Lisa were off to an early start to beat the Pioneer Day crowd. We settled into a beautiful spot on the Middle Provo and started hooking fish. Lisa was so polite she even asked if I wanted her left over ribs from the night before AND made sure I had enough bug repellant on (Thanks Lisa!). As you can see in the one photo Lisa tried to cut me out but I just wouldn't go away. I also was introduced to the coolest iphone app. A bird caller, type in the name of the bird and it starts calling. I think we freaked out some birds. Eric worked the water with methodic dillegence and was rewarded with some nice browns. The man of many trades can add fly fisherman to the list. Thanks Guys!

Family Outing
Scott, Adam, Betsy, and Jeremy fished the Lower Provo with Ryan and Jeremy (the guide). Jeremy (the fisherman) started in with landing some nice fish, Grandpa took some nice photos and couldn't stop smiling. Everyone caught fish with Adam being the last to get on the board after fishing in some fast water. These pictures are of Betsy's fish she landed after crossing to the other side of the river in true Lewis and Clark fashion. Thanks guys!

Helen, Bill, and Karbear

I was a little nervous when I saw how many tubes where coming down the river, but the fish didn't care! Helen was off to a quick start catching a fish with the rattiest line from the day before you'ver ever seen. Bill followed suit with some nice fish from the farside of the river. Nice job standing in that fast current Bill! Kari was the last one to get a fish in the net. (Not saying anything about your fishing skills Kari, I just thought that I would humble you by ignoring you for a while:)) Kari started padding her stats with some nice fish of her own. We ended the day taking a couple fish on dries during the PMD hatch. You are all great fisherman, hope to see you soon!

Carrie Beaird
Carrie's goal was to replace the fishing picture on her office wall with a bigger fish. We accomplished that goal and then some! I couldn't believe how much fun Carrie was having, even on a fish that broke us off she would laugh and pat me on the shoulder. Carrie I had fun and learned not to sweat the small stuff. Send us that Christmas card:)

Rap and Arcy give some fish a workout
Rap and Arcy hit the middle for a fullday trip that didn't dissapoint! It only took Arcy about 20 minutes to figure out how to dial in a fly rod, he was filling the bottom of the net with nice fish most of the day. Arcy took advantage of a short Green Drake hatch and showed off his dry fly casting/tangling skills. When the trout were all but worn out Arcy decided to try something new...the Utah Sucker! Even though the biggest one broke us off, Arcy landed some 20 plus inch suckers. Kind of cool and kind of weird. I'm not sure if you should lick the fish Arcy. Rap also did well even with Arcy talking trash ALL DAY, but never lost his smile! Thanks guys!
The Provo River has been good to Texans in 2009
Stacy and Riley took time away from the golf course to hit the middle section of the Provo. Besides great fishing and a few that got away, Stacy and Riley have a hilarious story about trying to book a tee time at a local Golf Club. Thanks guys I had a blast! Good Luck with your Basketball season Riley!

Wedding Party
June 2009
Dan and Lavon Napoli fished with RMO in the summer of 2008. This time they brought members of their wedding party to fish the day before the wedding. Lavon hooked and landed the fish of the day right before she had to leave the river for her pre-wedding beauty treatment. She landed an 18" rainbow from the middle section of the Provo! A truly exceptional fish! All the guys were jealuos of Lavon and the number of fish she landed. I think that's good luck for a bride! Congratulations on the fish and the marriage.

Everything is better in Texas!...Except Fly Fishing
June 2009
A coupe of Texas boys in town on some buisness decided to take a half day and fish. Steve warned me that he had bass fished and wasn't sure about fly fishing for trout. I think he and Mark are now hooked on Fly Fishing, Steve said, " Ryan,I gave you tons of kudos. You’ll probably be recognized nationally after this! Seriously, I did mention the awesome fishing experience and what a great time I had. I really became a fly fishing fan that day! It helps that my competitive spirit also was soothed since I caught the most trout too! But that wouldn’t have happened without your help and guidance! You rock!
Great Job guys!
Honeymoon Fly Fishing
Doug and Ben
Racheal, Dick ,and Steve

May 2009
The river has been running high but that didn't stop Racheal, Stephen and Dick from walking a bit extra to find some great fishing in a perfect run. We had fish on most of the day and Racheal was a true "Tree magnent." Where ever there was a tree or branch to be found Racheal was in it!:) She also caught some nice fish! Dick was patient and made sure everyone else was up and running before he even got a line wet. But once he did he was on fire...every time I looked up he was on a fish. Nice job Dick you are truely a great fisherman. Stephen was a quite and steady fisherman that landed a lot of fish. I thought that it was the kiss of death after Stephen landed a fish off his 2nd cast. But he didn't let the usual jinks get him down. Nice job guys! I had a great time with your family!
